Not just a fascinating look at the interplay in nature of creatures such as glowworms or owls, but a celebration of the marvels of nature. Henion takes us on an entertaining journey alongside scientists and others to learn about the magic of night. While not strictly a travel book, Henion’s explorations almost exclusively focus on different areas of Appalachia (including Tennessee, Alabama, Ohio, and North Carolina) and I appreciated the travel book aspects of the stories as well.
