Book Review: Underground: A Human History of the Worlds Beneath Our Feet by Will Hunt

Stars: 5/5

Location: Caves and other underground spaces in New York, Paris, the Pyrenees, South Dakota, Australian Outback

Sub-genre: anthropology, philosophy

Publication Date: 2019

Fantastic treatment of underground spaces around the world. A nice balance of Hunt’s travels and descriptions, the history of a place, and philosophy. It will make me think of what’s under my feet a lot more wherever I’m walking. (Also made for a great read on the NYC subway!)
