I had put off reading for a long time, but glad I finally got around to it. While you can debate which parts of Cheryl are likeable or make you want to groan with how little prep went into her trip, the story was marvelous and the writing compelling. Also an interesting look into the PCT in the 1990’s when few hikers were on the trail and in the age before smartphones.
